A rare opportunity to acquire two adjacent CLIA labs – one CLIA lab comes with Medicare, Texas Medicaid and Tri-Care East and West. Both Labs have Licenses for 38 states. The Labs had spent over $4.2 M in build-out and buying the equipment. Current fair market value of the equipment is about $1.1 M. These newer equipment are completely paid off with no leases whatsoever, and would cost $2.7 M if purchased new. Most of these equipment are only about 2.5 years old, with the oldest equipment about 4 years old.

The two labs have 12,000 square feet of total space which includes state-of-the-art conference room, 7 admin offices and an open cubical area that was used for billing. These labs are next to each other in the same building. One lab with Medicare and Medicaid was doing federal insurance work and other lab was doing only private out-of-network testing. The labs were recently forced to shut down as they were not getting reimbursed out-of-network. Excellent opportunity for an in-network lab to buy these turn-key labs to buy capacity and expand its markets. The staff will be happy to come back and resume operations. The equipment is fully functional with up to date PMs and can run samples immediately ( all instruments are running at this time). Furthermore, the lab had passed proficiency tests with 100% scores and have zero deficiencies. There would be no validation needed unless new test are added – so truly a “turn’key” deal.

The labs are in leased space adjacent to each other with a total area of 12,000 sq. ft. The lease is ending in May, 2019 and the seller is looking to sell the complete lab package including CLIA licenses as soon as possible. A buyer who wants to stay in the same location, would be able to sign a new lease with the landlord and most of the staff would be available to come back and run the lab.
