This full-service medical laboratory in Dallas, TX, has high-complexity CLIA accreditation. The Lab is set up to provide a wide array of testing, including Toxicology, Molecular testing, infectious disease testing (COVID, UTI, RPP, STI, etc.), Cancer Genomics (CGx), Pharmacogenomics (PGx), and blood chemistry. The Lab was set up just a few months ago (April 2024) and has not done commercial testing or billing.
The Lab is turn-key and has validated COVID-19, Respiratory, and UTI panels. It has not done commercial testing or billing and has one employee—a part-time medical director. However, it can start testing immediately by hiring a lab manager or lab tech.

In-Network Payers
Since the lab is relatively new, several payer contracts are being processed. It has Medicare and Tricare, which are approved. Texas Medicaid (TMHP) is awaiting documentation, and the Lab is participating in Texas BCBS as an out-of-network lab (i.e., it can bill at Medicare rates). It has also applied for a hard-to-get NY license and anticipates an inspection in 30-120 days.
Location and Space
The Lab is in a desirable suburban location in a 2,300-square-foot space in a single-story shopping plaza with many other businesses and plenty of parking. The suburban area has many companies, is close to several highways, and is within 30 minutes of DFW and Love Field airports serving Dallas. The lease extends through May 31, 2026.
Reason For Sale
The Lab was opened by partners who are well-experienced in the Laboratory and Healthcare businesses and have other laboratory and healthcare operations. They set up this laboratory as a reference laboratory for its sister laboratory but have decided to divest it and focus on its other operations.
